TISFEST – Teen International Shorts Festival
THE YOUNGEST FILM FESTIVAL OF TURKEY – TISFEST
TISFEST is a film festival with a wide program and a short film contest for TEEN filmmakers. There are no restrictions of theme or subject in this contest but the only necessity is that the contenders have to be between 13-19 years old. The deadline for the TISFEST contest is 14th December. Grand Prize is 1000 Euros, Second Prize is 750 and Third Prize is 500 Euros. There will also be masterclasses open to all participation between February 5th-9th, 2013. Famous faces from Turkey and abroad will attend these sessions and young filmmakers will have the chance to talk to, share ideas with and get assistance from them. Art as Cultural Diplomacy: A Forum for Young Leaders (ACD) is a network of students and young professionals who have an interest in exploring the field of art as a vehicle for cultural diplomacy. Participants join the forum by taking part in an ACD Weeklong Seminar, following which they are encouraged to conduct their own research and organize their own activity in the field.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Plan of Action of the World Summit on the Information Society, UNESCO, in cooperation with ITU, UNDP and UNCTAD, hosts in 2013 the first WSIS+10 Review meeting, in which world leaders, along with high-level participants from governments, the private sector, NGOs and other groups, to assess progress made and future ICT trends, which will impact all spheres of societies. It is also envisaged that the Conference will result in post-2015 recommendations.
