This presentation synthesizes the main outcomes about paid TV in the study “Children’s Chilean TV programming”. The main subject of this research was to analyze and evaluate the content of children’s programming broadcasted in Chilean paid and open-to-air TV. As main outcomes we found that 51% of analyzed TV shows has some educative content, mainly oriented to develop and enhance social and emotional skills. In a different dimension 63% of the TV shows has some kind of violent content.
