Y-Press is a nonprofit youth-media organization that stresses youth development and leadership skills. It is a youth-driven organization that gives children a voice in the world through journalism. Members build communication skills by producing stories with a youth perspective.Y-Press produces column that appears in The Indianapolis Star monthly in Monday’s newspaper and online bimonthly. In addition, radio pieces air on WFYI-FM (90.1), stories and other media are researched, reported and written by reporters (ages 10-13) and editors (ages 14-18) for audiences of all ages.
