AMES Conference 2013: Quality TV, Quality Teaching

The 2013 Association for Media Education in Scotland Conference will take place at Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus on Saturday 1 June 2013. The keynote will be on the theme of Quality TV and will be delivered by Kim Akass and Janet McCabe, two prominent UK academics on this topic. There will be workshops on QTV topics such as Battlestar Galactica, Borgen, Homeland, House of Cards, The Walking Dead and on other topics of interest to teachers at all levels. Among these are Pixar’s Brave, the new Scottish English and Media qualifications, radio production, comic strips and media representations of the working class.
