UNESCO has 193 Member States and seven Associate Member States. It is governed by the General Conference and the Executive Board. The Secretariat, headed by the Director-General, implements the decisions of these two bodies.

Within the framework of UNESCO’s International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC), a three-day workshop on Reporting Diversity Curricula Development for 15 journalism and communication academics from MENA region started on September 23, 2011 in Tunis, Tunisia.
