The Arab-U.S. Association Communication Educators (AUSACE) 11th Annual International Conference on “The Knowledge Society, and the Media” was held in Tangier, Morocco, November 17-21 2006. Reflect upon issues concerning the digital revolution that has deeply affected today’s society. The consequences indicate that progress is not well controlled, nevertheless it is having more and more impact on the form, content, and rhythm of human activities. Evaluation is partial as well as provisional as digital progress expands and updates itself daily; the effect of the digital revolution extends beyond the world’s economic, political, and socio-cultural systems. Knowledge in all domains is advancing at a tremendous speed as a result of new information and communicative technologies. Technology becomes increasingly more efficient and sophisticated allowing for larger and larger flows of information between cultures. Should one be optimistic or pessimistic? Will this avalanche of knowledge lead to a better organization of the relations of conviviality and mutual assistance between people, or will it instead lead to a misuse of cognitive activities whose irresponsible applications may soon threaten the future of mankind?
