This article analyzes the Soviet films of the “cold war” period about Western world
and western characters – in terms of their ideology, social and cultural context. As examples from movies and detective fiction genre – “The Mystery of Two Oceans”, “Amphibian Man”, “The Case of Corporal Kochetkov”, “Gardens of the Scorpion.”
