The results of the research “Study on Assessment Criteria for Media Literacy Levels”, directed by Professor José Manuel Perez Tornero, focused on analysis, reflection and development proposals within the field of digital literacy in Euriope.
The study is a part of the European Commission’s development of media literacy policies, the Commission has requested to experts for an assessment criteria for media literacy competences.
The survey covers the 27 Member States of the European Union Member States EEA (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and its objectives are:
– Provide an analysis and the appropriate criteria for assessing levels of media literacy.
– Provide an assessment of the levels of media literacy in Member States.
– Apply criteria developed to the member states of the European Union.
The study also considers the possibility of linking the implementation of common policies on media literacy in the European Union
