This speech was given on the occasion of the second of Qatar Foundation’s Innovations in Education Symposia. It is a manifestation of cooperation on various
fronts: between academia and enterprise, research and industry, and also an attempt
to bridge gaps between research and application in order to put research into action. A special emphasis is on the cooperation between teachers, researchers, and policy makers.
