This study concerns how the Internet and social media are used to promote anti-democratic messages aimed at young persons that encourage the use of violence for a political or ideological cause, and how to equip young persons to resist such messages.

The study examines how Swedish right-wing extremists, left-wing extremists and militant jihadists use the Internet for propaganda and recruiting purposes. It is one of a total of 15 measures in the Government’s Action Plan for Protecting Democracy against Pro-Violence Extremism.
