作为世界上传媒业最发达的国家,美国的媒介素养教育却远落后于英国、澳大利亚甚至加拿大等其他国家,直至20世纪60年代才开始起步。当时,美国民众普遍将肯尼迪总统遇刺身亡、校园暴力事件等一系列事件及现象的重要原因归咎于电视媒体的不良教化。美国著名的媒介素养专家David M.Considin e认为,美国的媒介素养教育“植根于澳大利亚、英国和加拿大”等国,从别国汲取了大量理念、经验,又根据自身实际探索出独立的模式。但美国的媒介素养教育仍相对落后,尚处于“婴儿期”(Infancy)。①本文试图在追溯媒介素养教育三大模式基础上,重点剖析美国媒介素养教育的特色以及经验,以给同样落后、但正在兴起的中国媒介素养教育提供参考。

美国中小学生的媒介素养教育
【摘要】美国的媒介素养教育肇始于20世纪60年代。尽管美国各个州的媒介素养教育发展并不均衡,但美国中小学生开展的媒介素养教育成效显著,对提高学生的媒介素养水平发挥了积极作用。美国中小学生媒介素养教育的特点表现在:将媒介素养教育整合进课程教育中;培养学生的批判意识;开展针对教师的媒介素养教育;尚未形成全国统一的课程标准。美国中小学生媒介素养教育对我国的启示在于:在课程中实施媒介素养教育;培养专业的媒介素养教育师资队伍;需要加强政府介入,并实现政府与学校的联合,真正推动我国媒介素养教育的开展。
