NFB.ca is the National Film Board of Canada’s online Screening Room. We have nearly 1500 films, clips and trailers online, free for personal use and on a subscription basis for schools and institutions.
Our collection includes documentaries, animations, experimental films and fiction. We showcase films that take a stand on issues of global importance that matter to Canadians – stories about the environment, human rights, international conflict, the arts and more.
One of the world’s first 360° web-documentaries, this interactive work promotes digital citizenship and explores vertical living in suburbs around the globe. The cross-media online project encourages an appreciation of diverse communities and an understanding of their members’ stories. Students can expand on the project through personal and creative writing to explore the power of music, art and culture in urban highrise settings. By designing their own models of effective highrise buildings, learners come to understand the impact of physical environment on human behaviour. Introduce your students to global education using the interactive classroom site Inside OUT MY WINDOW – Global Education Lab.
