This is a transcript of “The Killing Screens, Media & the Culture of Violence”, one of three videos in the series:
“George Gerbner on Media and Culture”.
In this film Mr. Gerbner is interviewed about his vision on violence in the media and the effects thereof. For the past 25 years Mr. Gerbner has been the head of the Cultural Indicators Project, the single most comprehensive study on the impact of television. His research has proven that the more television we watch, the more we believe the real world to be like that of television.
