The ACMA is Australia’s regulator for broadcasting, the internet, radiocommunications and telecommunications. It was formed on 1 July 2005 by the merging of the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) and Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA).
The research report, Digital Australians, examines the impact of the increasing use of digital media on Australians’ attitudes and expectations about media content issues and their regulation. A summary about the findings is available on the ACMA’s engage website.
