Critical Media Literacy– Children’s Critical Stance in Open Learning Contexts

December 5, 2008, Filed Under: Media & Information Literacy, Resources

Country: Israel
Source: research
Author: Dr. Mira Feuerstein

The study touches on the socialization and educational processes that children (ages 10-12) experience in their daily encounters with the open learning media environments. It sheds light on the importance of our awareness as an audience of the centrality of media in shaping our culture and society, and in sharpening the quality of our lives as citizens of the communications democracy.
