In an article published in The Age recently – ‘Creating the child who can handle the internet without adult supervision’, academic and Microsoft researcher, danah boyd argues that “the kids are alright”. boyd believes that our biggest fears may be irrational, and that it is more important to give kids the tools to assess risks and make good choices for themselves, rather than constantly looking over their shoulders
