The Robinson Film Center (founded in 2003) is a Shreveport, Louisiana-based media arts organization dedicated t! o the creation, viewing, and discussion of film and visual media, with a special focus on youth media and promoting media literacy. Through its education programs, the center has taught film making and media literacy to approx. 10,000 K-12 students. Programs include “Lights, Camera, Learning!” ! , a digital film making and visual literacy curriculum. This past week, the RFC hosted a community breakfast to showcase its mission and impact on the community. More than 2,400 seniors have participated in the center’s monthly Silver Screenings program, which includes free classic film and lunch.
