香港傳媒教育計劃網站提供有關傳媒教育的文獻、書籍、網絡連結、教材套和參考資料,目的是在香港及大中華地區推廣傳媒教育運動。 網站始於1999年一個探討媒介素養與傳播科技關係的研究計劃,由香港浸會大學新聞系李月蓮博士編製。由於二十一世紀是網絡年代,傳媒科技和資訊科技滙流,所以這個網站特別羅列了一些新媒體的參考書籍,並倡議將媒介素養的概念伸延為「傳媒資訊素養」。 進入Web 2.0年代,愈來愈多的香港教育工作者有興趣加入傳媒教育的行列,培訓他們的學生成為精明的傳媒消費者、媒體創作人以及有責任心的公民,故此這個網站提供有關的參考資料,方便他們在課堂及課餘實踐傳媒教育。近年參與校園電視台、校園記者計劃及相關傳媒教育活動的中、小學生愈來愈多,更有不少同學修讀通識課程,網站為他們搜集有關媒體方面的參考資訊。
