MENON is a European research and innovation network, working since 13 years to foster and smoothen innovation processes in areas such as education and lifelong learning, international S&T cooperation, knowledge society, social inclusion. We do so by facilitating the understanding of societal change processes, by engaging stakeholders in decision-making processes, and by offering evidence-based recommendations for policy and practice, at local, national, EU and international level.
MENON represents a rather unique integration of multidisciplinary expertise and “innovative thinking”, drawing on a comprehensive and diverse knowledge base combining research methods and their application, network development and implementation, policy analysis and valorisation of innovative practices.
The mission of MENON is to facilitate the evolution of the Knowledge Society in Europe and in other parts of the world, making learning a priority issue in policy agendas around economic, social and cultural development at both national and international level.
The MENON Network is active both at national level, through its members, and at transnational level, where the EEIG coordinates co-funded projects, and is active in other collaboration and support work for the European Commission and international organisations. We have been working in more than 30 countries, where we can count on an extended network of partners and experts and we can mobilise the energies of a number of key actors and networks. See the partners page to know more about our network.
MENON has been successfully coordinating more than 30 research projects, being in charge of management, research coordination, dissemination, European and international networking, sustainability building. All these projects have produced tangible results and have had an impact on selected target users. See the projects page for more insights on our experience.
