Mediamanual

The Mediamanual was created by the Austrian BMUKK – Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture – as an interactive platform for media work in schools. It offers pupils, students, and teachers materials for media education. It also provides lectures and workshops on subjects such as film, radio and video. Thematically, it is concerned with assessing ways in which common media knowledge influences value systems and ideas. The Mediamanual also hosts an annual media literacy award, which is intended to reward media competence along the themes of political, social, cultural and personal qualifications, and to help achieve socially and critically sensitive use of media in everyday life.
