Media Education Center

Media Education Center of Armenia is aimed to educate children and parents, youths and teachers to become media literate citizens of a knowledge-based society. We seek to empower citizens to make responsible choices while dealing with old and new media. Our aim is to highlight school children and students how to use media and educational media positively and effectively in order to become active citizens and responsible producers of their own media. We seek to educate citizens to use the Internet and other ICT safely and avoid risks. We carry out researches, develop teaching materials on media literacy and media education, organize seminars and other public events. Media Education Center advocates including innovative pedagogy, promotes creation of new learning environments; usage of ICTs for contextual and collaborative learning. We cooperate with public authorities, non-governmental and private sectors.
