Headliners is a UK-based news agency which teaches news production techniques to people of ages 8-19 through journalism programs. Through these programs participants are able to write and produce their own news stories which often get published in local newspapers and magazines, or broadcast on television or radio. Headliners’ main objective is to inspire children and young people to investigate and challenge the world around them, enhance their personal development and promote their right to be heard as equals.
Headliners works in partnership with voluntary and government organizations and focuses mainly on young people who are isolated or at risk of exclusion, those who are disabled, and young people from minority groups. To fulfil this goal, Headliners runs a number of outreach programs that allow those who cannot travel to the Headliners centre to use their resources.
