Finnish Centre for Media Education and Audiovisual Media MEKU is the national agency subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Culture. MEKU has a wide range of tasks related to promoting media education and supervising provision of audiovisual programmes.
MEKU acts as an expert in the development of children’s media environment and promotes research related to the sector, monitors international development in the field and distributes information about children and the media.
