EducommunicAfrik is a non-profit organisation specialized in Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and Media and Gender for the sustainable development of people and individuals.
Mission
The main mission of EducommunicAfrik is to provide workshops and projects for children, young people with a focus on marginalized communities (women, etc.) in using media to foster their leadership, advocacy, self-expression, citizenship and their involvement in seeking solutions to problems concerning them especially as well as their communities.
Description
Based in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) EducommunicAfrik is a non-profit organization with a sub-regional vocation which intends to position itself as the reference structure in terms of MIL and Gender in West Africa and beyond.
Formally established in September 2012 and registered under the Receipt N° 2012-01254/MATDS/SG/DGLPAP/DOASOC, Its ambition is to contribute by media and information literacy (MIL) to a qualitative change of the African society in General and in particular by impacting the lives of thousands of young people through specially designed and developed for this purpose projects.
Believing in the value of developing social and educational initiatives through partnerships, EDUCOMMUNICAFRIK intends to develop collaborative projects with major national and international organizations.
