The Chiapas Media Project (CMP)/Promedios is an award winning, bi-national partnership that provides video equipment, computers and training enabling marginalized indigenous communities in Southern Mexico to create their own media. The emphasis has been in the area of video production. The Chiapas Media Project is currently distributing 26 indigenous productions worldwide.
The Chiapas Media Project has 4 main sources of income to continue its work: University/Community Presentations; Video Sales; Newsletter/Direct Mail Donations; Foundations.
