Calling The Shots is an award winning production company, committed to widening participation in the media for new talent, young people and under-represented voices from the community. It produces TV programs and corporate videos and delivers education projects for a range of clients including BBC3, SW Screen, the Open University, English Heritage and the UK Film Council.
Calling The Shots works directly with schools, charities and educational organizations to increase opportunity in digital media for everyone. It develops new filmmaking talent and mentor new directors and behind-the-camera crew to produce rich, sparkling, original content. Calling The Shots organizes training and team-building programs for corporate clients that want an exciting way to get their staff working together and producing content for websites or mobile phones.
CTS began in 1998 as a partnership between Steve Gear, Lizzie Minnion and Jeremy Routledge. Projects include ‘Stray’ (1998). ‘Come Play’ (2005), Mini Masterpieces (2003-2006) and BBC New Talent Shorts (2004-2006).
