María Tornell and Belen Blesa, coordinators of the twelfth number of Sphera Publica, presented this release on the round table: Milid Publications. Books and magazines monographs about Informational Media Literacy and Intercultural Dialogue.
Education and Media is the title of the latest issue of the publication, which addresses the educational requirements posed by the context of the Global Information Society, from the standpoint of informal learning processes and the institutions and education systems.
The issues highlighted in this issue are the socio-impact of the Internet, social media and mobile telephony and the educational uses of video games, virtual environments and creative activities, from media. The number suggests a multifaceted approach to a phenomenon of many dimensions (legal, sociological, educational) from the eyes of authors from different fields and fields of study.
Jose Manuel Perez Tornero, director of the Communication and Education Cabinet, was in charge of the preface for this number, which is entitled: “A new horizon for Media Education”. Perez Tornero reached back there to the displacements that have taken place in the paradigms of media education. These shifts suggest multimensionalidad understanding the media, among others.
