Actions to continue afeter the media literacy and digital cultures Congress

Expositors and participants of the Congress "Media literacy and digital cultures", held in Seville, have begun to work in different actions aimed to maintain reflection, discussion and development of projects in media literacy.

 

Actions like the creation of an online platform for reflection, the impulse to various publications and materials and the project of a new Congress in 2011.

The conference has been attended by almost 300 people from Europe and Latin America. The event took place on 13 and 14 May in the premises of the University of Sevilla, host of the conference and was organized by the Association of Educational and Cultural Television of Ibero America (ATEI), with the collaboration of the Faculty of Law and the "Secretariat of Audiovisual Resources and New Technologies" at the University of Seville, the gabinete de Comunicación y Educación of the Autonomous University Barcelona, OyTV, Comunicar Magazine, Mentor Association, the Association of European Viewers Interests (EAVI) and the Clearinghouse of the Alliance of Civilizations.

In this context the Congress of media literacy and digital cultures sought to form a space for the exhibition and presentation of ideas, research and experience to strengthen cooperation in this field between the media, universities, researchers and teachers. So, there is the idea of creating a network of professionals to share the item, create and collaborate on new experiences in Media literacy and digital Culture.
