A trip in images: Expedition members present their audiovisual work

The Tahina-Can expedition took nine days to traverse Morocco in 4-wheel drives, by camel or bus. The medinas of Fez, sunsets over large sand dunes in the desert, the souk of Marrakech or small towns in desert areas were the scenes where the expedition with the name of a star approached an unknown and exciting reality. The cities in Morocco taught the Tahina-Can travelers new lessons through recognizing the way of life of a different culture. However, expedition members highlighted the natural landscapes as one of the most intense experiences of the trip. The excursion to the Todra Gorge and the days in the desert contributed to a unique experience which the explorers savored in all its intensity. Dressed in djellabas, students ate together at an oasis and witnessed a desert sunrise in the heat of haimas among friendly and welcoming people.

Expedition member Sonia Prado, a 3rd year student of Journalism at the UAB, said: “Tahina-Can is another reality, another way to see the little things, to pay attention to those details that should not go unnoticed.”

Lluís Muñoz, a 3rd year student of Audiovisual Communication at the UAB, also valued the experience: “Losing track of time, having the sensation that you’re dreaming or feeling insultingly happy are some of the key elements that give our big star that special and unique magic. Traveling involves many connotations that I have only been able to find in Tahina-Can”.
