However, expedition members highlighted the natural landscapes as one of the most intense experiences of the trip. The excursion to the Todra Gorge and the days in the desert contributed to a unique experience which the explorers savored in all its intensity. Dressed in djellabas, students ate together at an oasis and witnessed a desert sunrise in the heat of haimas among friendly and welcoming people.
Expedition member Sonia Prado, a 3rd year student of Journalism at the UAB, said: “Tahina-Can is another reality, another way to see the little things, to pay attention to those details that should not go unnoticed.”
Lluís Muñoz, a 3rd year student of Audiovisual Communication at the UAB, also valued the experience: “Losing track of time, having the sensation that you’re dreaming or feeling insultingly happy are some of the key elements that give our big star that special and unique magic. Traveling involves many connotations that I have only been able to find in Tahina-Can”.
