After the success of the EMEDUS final conference, the First European Media Literacy Forum, a new debate will be opened in December 2014 with the “Latin American and Caribbean Media and Information Literacy Forum”, which will gather stakeholders interested in fostering media education among Center and South America. This conference will be held in Mexico City on 10 and 11 December, and will be hosted by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Public Broadcasting System of Mexico with the Autonomous University of Barcelona and UNESCO as co-organizer.
México is in the most important moment of development in terms of the assumption of new technologies, says Ernesto Velázquez, Director of TV UNAM.
Among the outcomes of the Forum is the launching of the Media and Information Literacy Observatory born as a continuation of the European Media Literacy Study (EMEDUS).
