尽管社交网络网站(SNSs,特别是Facebook)在年轻人中变得非常流行,一些大学的学生却不愿参与这些网站。这个研究探寻了高科技大学生停用社交网络网站的潜在原因。学生组(n=20)由18-25岁的本科生构成,是根据有目的的取样方法选取的。数据从土耳其两个很大的州立大学搜集。作为最流行的社交网络网站之一,Facebook被选作研究背景。在数据搜集和分析进程中使用了定性研究的方法。不用社交网络网站最首要的原因是认为浪费时间或不必要的工具,可能会让人上瘾,可能会侵犯隐私的担忧或共享不必要的信息,还有,可能引起家庭方面的顾虑。另外,研究结果显示大多数学生不相信虚拟友谊,也不喜欢在线上和人共享照片和政治观点。鉴定识别停用学生对SNSs的态度将帮助我们更好理解个体对这些社交服务的观念和经验。
