This is an interview with Vinicius Navarro, assistant professor of film studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He gives his insight on the topics of media convergence and the way in which it upset the existing hierarchies between producers and consumers of popular culture, flow of culture and knowledge across borders and the effect that the media convergence has on the traditional academic disciplines. Navarro points out the importance of embracing a converged educational system in order to be able to navigate through a converged information environment.
